Lincolnshire is still a little “off the beaten track” and large areas are unspoiled by modern trends. There are peaceful villages and bustling market towns waiting to be explored. Running through the county are the chalk hills and valleys called “The Wolds”, designated an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”.
Lincoln is a much visited, vibrant city with many Roman remains and, of course, its magnificent cathedral which features in the film of the
Da Vinci Code. Alfred Lord Tennyson is one of Lincolnshire’s famous sons, and many local places figured in his early life and inspired great poetry.
Lovers of historic houses and gardens are well catered for throughout the county, and there are all kinds of museums and other attractions
